The AQSS Salient is a strong, well-balanced board.Â
It is a great option for a beginner who is wanting to look-the-part or transitioning from a learner style board.
It is perfect for someone looking for a higher volume board, without losing manoeuvrability and responsiveness.Â
The Salient is also a great addition to the quiver for surfers wanting to have a little more for those bigger days.
It has a high-density EPS core, bamboo inlay (deck & bottom) and double 6oz fiberglass on the deck (6oz + 4oz bottom) and gives you strength and durability you can rely on in the most critical situations.Â
The centre single fin box, combined with the dual tab side fin configuration, makes the Salient very versatile allowing you to ride the board as a 2+1, a single fin or thruster.Â
It has a gradual rocker and subtle single concave which gives the Salient plenty of down-the-line speed and drive. It has a slight vee running through the tail which will allow the board to transition from rail to rail with ease.
The rounded pin tail allows for tight carving turns in the pocket whilst giving you maximin hold in hollow waves.
Best suited for beginners to experienced riders wanting a durable all-round board for all conditions.Â
